so the VVF ladies that i spoke about earlier in the week are settled in, 10 of them have now had surgery and I cannot leave them alone! everytime i have 5 mins, or im passing the door to the ward i have to go in and say hello...we smile and laugh, shake hands and communicate with our expressions! last night with Beccy and Jo we were sorting the fabric, new underwear and beads for new dresses and jewellery for the dress ceremony's.
The ladies have white robes that a hotel has donated, last night they have beautiful name plates that they've decorated and are now above their beds and im sure pretty soon they will begin making themselves their necklaces...so when they dance with their new dress and new hope they can wear them proudly.
in a quiet moment this morning during my shift, i even painted a few nails!
I'm getting attached to these beautiful ladies and its surprising how quick they are getting attached to us!
check back monday - its the first day of dancing :)
